It is my alma mater, and I want them to do well.  I tried out for the team when I was there, did very well in the fall, then developed a sore arm.  Always liked SCU baseball.  But I've liked all of Stanford's sports teams since I was a little kid, frankly, for about ten years before I'd ever heard of Santa Clara.  Also, my cousin was Marquess' student manager, and Nick Bellafronto went to my sons' high school, so I definitely like Stanford baseball.

So I like watching both teams and want both to do well.

Mick, I'd expect you (and anyone) to root for your alma mater in a head-to-head versus Stanford.  No need to equivocate.  We all appreciate your Cardinal Fandom when it comes to all sports and against all opponents other than Santa Clara!

P.S.  Great historical baseball knowledge being dropped in this thread.
