As I pointed out in a post prior to the game, they haven't had any home games that have been remotely close this year, although plenty of heroics in previous seasons.  I was hoping that the lack of experience in close games plus the subtle pressure of being #1 in the AP poll would cause them to tighten up a bit in a tight game. 

I thought Chip Kelly betrayed a bit of nervousness when he freaked out about the first Stanford TD and (apparently) Scott Frost got a penalty. I was shocked; I'd never seen him off his equilibrium, even in other losses. Between that and the weird DeAnthony Thomas/Bryan Bennett-as-DBs headfakes, I wonder whether Chip beat himself to a certain extent.
