I don't think that's right.  The song has charted every year since its release, but I think it only made it to #1 (at least in the Billboard chart) for the first time on Dec. 21, 2019.  Hence the 25 years between release and top of chart.

You're right, I garbled the question.  Mariah Carey is the only singer to have a #1 hit in four separate decades, not the song.  My misteak.
