Today's initial unemployment claims hit 1,427,000, a decrease of 55,000 from the prior week. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate didn't change at 13.2%.

The number of people considered insured unemployment was 19,290,000, an increase of 59,000 from the prior week. That's the DoL page 1 number. the DoL page three number is the total number of people claiming benefits in all programs for the week ending June 13, which was 31,491,627, an increase of 916,722 from the previous week. There were 1,582,309 persons claiming benefits in all programs in the comparable week in 2019.
