I think Elizabeth learned the Silicon Valley "fake it until you make it" lesson a little too well.
I, too, will be surprised if she spends much time behind bars.

I think this defense could actually backfire. The judge (and the jury if they actually hear it presented) may see it as the heights of trying to game the system and add punishment/guilt based on clear lack of remorse. Once you try something like this, if it doesn't work it is impossible to walk it back.
