Get money out of politics and unions will have less power. but still enough to secure reasonable (I know its subjective) wages, benefits, and working conditions for workers.
My brother-in-law is an AV director for a CA JC and in a union. Even though JCs are closed, he's still getting paid. Students are paying for online classes, so the money to pay still exists. If he wasn't in a union, he'd have been furloughed. My beef isn' that he is being paid, it's that the State has no ability to have him do another job, like fire suppression, contact tracing, poll working. Whatever it is the state or County needs done.
As for Scott, not hiring union workers is shortsighted as Phogge suggested. You aren't going to get people as skilled at their trades in the entertainment industry if using non-union labor. It's a manifestation of how he has no problem taking more than he needs for himself, but aims to squeeze others. That's what makes him a POS.
