Anyone trying to read between the lines to discern the thinking of Maya Dodson as she made her decision should read this piece.

I don't think it provides a clear answer. But you can gauge her mindset. It may be the case that other things are more important to her now than basketball.

Thank you for sharing. Wow! That was an inspiring article and agree, it gives a much clearer sense of what is on her mind and heart than her tweet. I respect her decision. It could not be easy to miss her senior season with a team that could be in the Final Four. There are much bigger things going on - particularly over the next 41 days. Proud of our Stanford athletes and glad to learn about Tara's engagement.
