Official silence on Husak will open the rumor floodgates. If it hasn't already. His analysis was consistently solid, informative and candid. As far as "sarcasm"? Depends on ear of the recipient. There's been a lot about Shaw's performance and the direction of the program worthy of critiques, as we all know. If he was under pressure to "get with the program", we'll find out about it sooner or later (and wouldn't surprise me at all).
Is Scott Reiss still play by play. He also was often critical. I do not say that as criticism of the broadcasting team. On the contrary, critical is good. As long as it’s not overboard. If Reiss is also gone and the two of them are replaced by a couple of unabashed homers (or Reiss suddenly becomes uncritical) then your “get with the program” comment is prescient. I hope, however, you are incorrect. Husak will be missed. He was very good. If he wanted to, I think he’s worthy of being an analyst at the national level.
