At Michigan, he is now 9-17 against ranked teams; 1-4 in bowl games; 3-3 against Michigan State; and 0-5 against Ohio State.
What are the odds that he's Michigan's coach in 2021?
No promises that Covid will not affect next season either. We are in uncharted territory.
After this season, his buyout (his contract expires January 2022) would be a minimum of $5 million (articles on the topic vary in terms of the exact number). I am sure the big-time Michigan donors could easily raise that kind of money so it is certainly a possibility. Right now, I would put the odds at 60-40 that he will be back in 2021.
I'd say 70-30 . . . but even that's not a lock.
J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!
P.S. I have no doubt Jimbo has hit his expiration period in Ann Arbor (as he has pretty much everywhere else he has coached). Also agree with comment that $$ will be tight in college football ranks, as schools will still be reeling form Covid deprivations at the gate.
