I wonder if next year's admit rate will be a lot lower given the 378 deferrals, most who presumably enroll next year.

Maybe not, since there will be a four-year hole from the students who deferred if next year's class is smaller.  If you had admit a normal size class next year, you'd be fine the next three years, and only have too many people in three years, when the freshman class are seniors.

A friend in the admissions office told me that the current plan is to admit the same number of students next year and find some way to house the extra kids who deferred this year.
