Arguably, Harbaugh produced similarly to what the sainted Schembechler and Carr did. Schembechler won 79.6% of his games, went 5-12 in bowl games and didn't attend bowls in four seasons. Moeller won 77.5%, went 4-1 in bowl games. Carr won 76% of his games, went 6-7 in bowls. RichRod and Hoke weren't so good. RichRod won 40%, 0-1 in bowls, Hoke was 60% wins with 1-2 in bowls. Harbaugh (though last year) won 72% of his games, and was 1-4 in bowls. So, closer to Schembechler and Carr than RichRod and Hoke. I don't see anyone doing better at UMich.
all true, but he's not done any of the three things dearest to UM fans
- beating tOSU
- going to the Rose Bowl (of course not beating tOSU makes that less likely)
- being in the CFP/winning a national championship (see beating tOSU again)
being 3-3 vs MSU also doesn't generate much fan goodwill
