I think the Edwards' career was not impacted by one hit, but rather by a bunch of hits.
I have no idea how those collisions have or have not impacting his mental health, but getting crushed over and over again has got to impact his overall comfort level and confidence in any system.
I remember when he was a Stanford. He was destroyed by defensive players on almost every series. I would marvel at his ability to get up and stumble to the huddle for the next play. I think those Bill fans that are pointing to one event, probably never saw him play at Stanford. :-\
Sadly for him, most of the bad teams need a back-up with relatively little game wear and tear so that they can absorb a lot of punishment in a game that almost certainly was out of reach before they jumped on the field. That probably does not describe Trent Edwards at this point.
