The NFL should also stop playing. The NBA has proven it can play in a bubble, but the NFL clearly is not doing enough to stop infection spread. keeping these games going, and allowing Thanksgiving gatherings to go on sets a toned of normalization that is going to set us up for a truly unfathomably terrible December.
FWIW, according to one reporter (I posted it in the NFL thread in the covid board), lately, the NFL's cases are all inbound from community and not player to player.
This may be true, but it's still impacting the availability of players on the teams who must isolate and quarantine. It's tough enough being a fan when players go down with physical injuries, but now players can miss time without even necessarily being sick. But let's not forget these infected players can further infections outside their team facilities too, which leads to more community spread.
