LSU DC Kevin Steele said this after he praised aTm coach Jimbo Fisher for being such a good OC and was asked what makes him so good:
Bad coordinators: Watch the game video replays and make adjustments for the following week.
Mediocre coordinators: Make adjustments at Halftime.
Good coordinators: Make adjustments after one series.
Words to live by, or one man's opinion?
By this standard, it's pretty clear which bucket Pritchard & Anderson fall into - Shaw as well.
Actually. Anderson adjusted after Cals first drive.
Didn't the TV announcers cite some stat about how Cal has scored on its first possession in every game (maybe even at TD)? If true (or even close), that's remarkable because their overall offensive numbers suck. But that also means that all opponents probably figure out Cal after the first possession. Anyway, I basically agree that the D looked better than in first two games (in both style and substance). But we need to temper that with an understanding the Cal's offense is bad.
