Moving from LSU to TCU doesn't feel like an upward move to me.  But then, neither did leaving Stanford to take the job at LSU, never mind Bowlsby's intent or non-intent.  It's not like I'm biased on that one, though  :).

Nope--definitely a downward move. TCU's previous coach left for Ohio. Not THE Ohio State University, but that other Ohio. It's in the MAC. Basically, Johnson left for a school whose previous coach thought moving to Ohio is an upward move.
