I agree with you, jonnyss. And setting Prechtel aside for a moment: has there ever been a Stanford player who's transferred prior to graduation for playing time? We've had players graduate in three years (Moschkau); sit out, graduate, then grad-transfer (Thompson); convert a medical red-shirt year into a grad transfer due to perceived shortage of schollys (Carrington, Sniezek); transfer because the injury protocol wouldn't let them play (Carey); and even walk away from bball altogether (Johnson, Dodson--temporarilyish). But I can't think of a single player who has walked away from a free ride at Stanford because they are one of the first off the bench.

And BTW, speaking of the bench, Prechtel fouled at a pace of 1 foul per 2.5 minutes. Little wonder she didn't stay in the game long. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best one.
