Anyway, the defense clamped down in the second half and the offense (i.e. Oscar) did just enough. The team seemed a bit off on offense and defense throughout the game, and I think that Davis' absence is why.
Da Silva is averaging 20.2 points per game now. Casey Jacobsen averaged 22 in 2002. Has any Stanford player averaged 20 per game since then?
Landry Fields, 22 points/game in 2009-10.
Close to 20 - Chasson Randle at 19.6 in 2014-15 and Reid Travis at 19.5 in 2017-18.
Good catch--I'd forgotten about that fantastic season from Landry. He got robbed for P10 player of the year, which went to Jerome Randle from Cal. Randle got bonus points because Cal made the tourney that year. But Landry got the last laugh because Randle never made the NBA.
