I do not - have raised "baseless speculation" previously, and no need to discuss further. We'll just see how things play out.
The depth on this team is remarkable.
There were some spectacular assists tonight: (i) the pass from Haley to a flashing player for a layup in 1H was one; (ii) Lexie's Q4 underhand scoop to a trailing Belibi was another, and I even liked Brink's 1H pass out to the three point line for a trey (IIR the sequence correctly).
Speaking of Brink, she is very skilled and an impact player. You can see why she is getting good PT.
The concerns about Ki and Lexie were probably a bit premature, though the latter's shooting % still isn't great.
Lastly, congrats to Tara. I've said that the Race to the Summit was overblown, given that the all time wins leader will be a years-long battle between Geno and Tara - both will blow by Summit's total. Still, someone had to pass the Tennessee Legend first, and I'm glad it was Tara. Geno and UConn get enough love from ESPN and the MSM, it's all right to give Tara some time in the sun. Now, the task will be to keep Geno at bay. It will be hard, given the respective caliber of the competing conferences, but this team will be hard to beat. For anyone. [Though I think Oregon is awfully good and is also a national title contender].
Props to UOP for playing well and hard in the 1H. What transpired in the 2H is going to happen when you're outgunned. And also thanks to UOP for scheduling the game and helping make it happen there for their season opener!
