No January enrollment, adherence to the Big Visit, no JC kids, virtually no transfers (except future fighter pilots who don't get any snaps). That puts them behind the eight ball with a lot of kids. Then there is the early signing date which has thrown off Shaw and staff.

But the bright side is that the conference is mediocre giving Stanford a slight chance to make an occasional Rose Bowl except in a season in which the RB is a semifinalist game.
