I'm assuming that most folks want Bernard Muir gone because of the cancellation--and the stated reasons and finality for said cancellation--of 11 varsity sports programs. That's fair enough, but is there still a belief that, with Muir gone, at least some of these sports will be reinstated? My sense is that the University will put the kibosh on reinstatement with or without Muir, but maybe I'm mistaken.

I don't want him gone for the cancellation. I want him gone for overseeing the financial situation that forced the cancellation. He continued to grow the Athletic Department based on projected conference revenues despite increasing annual shortfalls due to the ongoing failures of the Pac-12 Network. This gap had been growing for at least three years, and Muir did nothing to restrain growth (and cost). The COVID came and it exposed his lousy financial management.
