That would then create some level of hospitalizations and deaths. The LA Basin has no available hospital ICU capacity to handle any increase in COVID so a game would likely also cause delayed health care and possibly deaths to others without COVID too.
Given that your history lesson was, well, somewhat lacking in fact, I'd love to hear you explain your comment regarding the "typical SEC/ACC fan" and their mask wearing? You do realize the highest Covid rate in the world right now is in California, particularly Southern California, don't you? So help me understand why So Cal is so much worse than SEC and ACC territory. Please share the facts behind your slander comment. Bias isn't just race, is it?
And besides, why would anyone want to come to California right now, especially Southern California? It might just kill them.
And, yet, here in SEC/ACC country I just enjoyed a nice meal in a small restaurant, socially distanced and with masks except at the table, of course. My kids are still going to school (in person, which is what “going to school” actually means). And, strangely, all the holier-than-thou Californian elitists can’t fathom that life is actually better elsewhere, even when it comes to Covid spread. But, rest assured, they are doing their part. Just ask them.
The rose bowl moving is a matter of politics and not actual science. But the politics and science are on the wrong side this time. I hate it for Pasadena, but you get the leaders you deserve, and LA county has proven that in spades.
