Was Saban even mentioned in this thread before you brought him up? Farm's comment was as snarky as can be, and you know it. A criticism of So Cal? Please. A strain on So Cal Hospitals? The Domers and Tide families would have been home for days before they would have been diagnosed.
Perhaps the right thing for So Cal to say, would have been "We've screwed this Covid thing up so badly at the moment, it would be unsafe for the teams and their families to come to Southern California. For their safety, we recommend moving the game elsewhere."
And I have to admit, nothing says Rose Bowl more than Texas and the house that Jerry Jones built. . . .

Farm93 simply mentioned that if SEC/ACC fans were less likely to wear masks, that could lead to spread, which is a particularly risky proposition in SoCal these days. It was actually a criticism of SoCal. Each part of that statement is probably true.
All the repeated, unprompted praise of Saban comes off as hyper-defensive. I have a lot of family in the SEC territories. I visit there. I have received generous offers from in laws (free housing, real estate) to move there but personally am uninterested. But I can see how there are a lot of things people really like there.
But it is a reasonable, factual statement to say fans from the SEC and ACC regions probably wear masks less, and it’s a reasonable, factual stament to say that could be an unwise combination with SoCal at this time.
Free Phogge!!!! And no, crimson doesn't refer to the Tide.
