I wasn't blown away by Jones today but he does fit the ball in there and has poise. Can he be a game manager for Shanahan? Of course he has five Godzillas protecting him and one of the best college receivers ever. Niners need a corner. If they decide to keep Jimmy they should trade up to get Surtain.

Fwiw, his starting center was out today. Watched him off and on, and while he does have protection, he doesn't miss often. . ..

Jones is very accurate on short to medium passes. He is not electric. A true game manager. I wonder whether Fields' draft position will be affected by Haskins' showing. Same type of player and similar strengths. Haskins always posed as a team guy; Fields seems more authentic.

The only similarities between Fields and Haskins is they both played at OSU.  Fields is a significantly more talented QB.  More accurate and a much better runner.

OSU has not really produce any NFL QBs of not in the last 10 to 12 years (Troy Smith, Terrell Pryor, Braxton Miller - injury, Cardale Jones -"why go to class" and Dwayne Haskins)
