Even without the Rose Bowl and the hoards of maskless SEC/ACC fans, LA County is now over 161 new daily cases per 100k. Any comment OST or Farm?
Disappointing yet interesting story on the morning news Sat regarding all the super-spreader New Years Eve parties the LA PD / Sheriff's department had to shut down. But that's a topic for a different board I guess.

Given what we know about COVID, even before the latest UK mutation, and the lack of compliance with mask-wearing by typical SEC/ACC fans it is easy to predict that a football game will lead to some level of case spread. That would then create some level of hospitalizations and deaths. The LA Basin has no available hospital ICU capacity to handle any increase in COVID so a game would likely also cause delayed health care and possibly deaths to others without COVID too.
Given that your history lesson was, well, somewhat lacking in fact, I'd love to hear you explain your comment regarding the "typical SEC/ACC fan" and their mask wearing? You do realize the highest Covid rate in the world right now is in California, particularly Southern California, don't you? So help me understand why So Cal is so much worse than SEC and ACC territory. Please share the facts behind your slander comment. Bias isn't just race, is it?
And besides, why would anyone want to come to California right now, especially Southern California? It might just kill them.

Not sure where you get your "facts", Crimson, but since you criticized Farm for his "facts", you might want to recheck yours. Last I checked, yes Calif has the highest number of cases. It also has the largest population. However, the highest rate per capita still belongs to ND, followed by SD and Iowa.
Maybe even more important, as of 12/31, Calif is 36th in death per population. In first place are NJ, NY and Mass, who taught the rest of the country important lessons. Next are our old friends ND, SD, Louisiana, and Miss.
You might want to update your list. Here's the latest from the CDC. At least CA is down from over 100. . . .
https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker...klast7days
CA tops the list at 91.9 cases per 100k, followed by TN and RI. SD at 43, ND at 29, both way down the list.
PA and NM currently have the highest death rate per 100k, CA about the middle of the pack.
And here's some data on So Cal:
https://covidactnow.org/us/california-ca...?s=1482438
LA County @ 132.9 daily cases per 100k
Riverside @ 137
San Bernardino @ 132.9
Orange @114
Free Phogge!!!! And no, crimson doesn't refer to the Tide.
