Griffin has said some pretty stupid and egotistical stuff.  But if the media had reported every stupid and egotistical thing that I said when I was trying to land my first job out of school, I would have looked really bad, too (as most of us would, I expect).  So Griffin's quotes don't surprise me at all, or make me think less of him.  But it's pretty impressive that Andrew has managed to avoid saying anything stupid yet.

To the contrary, from an article in today's The Daily News here in the Bay Area [not yet posted online, from what I can tell]:

[regarding Luck and RGIII being linked...] "The package deal is fine with Luck, who said he became friends with Griffin during the college award season. 'I understand that we'll be linked forever in our careers.  And hopefully we'll have long, fruitful careers,' Luck said. 'And I'll root for him -- unless we're playing him.  I'm sure he'll say the same thing.  He's a great guy, and I definitely wish him all the best.'"

Yvonne couldn't have written more gracious comments herself...

The best comment in the article was something else, however. 

"Other highlights from Luck's meeting with the press [Wednesday morning]: -- What will he miss most about college?  'Beating Cal.' "
