I was also a bit worried when I saw this this morning, but I think Bowlsby did enough to change the culture. The new AD will have no choice but to continue placing an emphasis on fielding teams in EVERY sport which are amongst the most competitive in the nation. Also, aside from salary issues about which I have no idea, I'd have to imagine that the Stanford AD job would be one of the most coveted such positions in the nation. No worries about scandals, a higher caliber of student athlete, beautiful campus, etc., etc. Plus, it's apparently a stepping stone to becoming a conference commissioner. What's not to love?
