The tackle eligible plays were preceded by frantic jersey swapping on the sidelines - and those were BIG shoulder pads the jerseys had to clear. Most times two coaches yanked on the arm and neck holes trying to get those shirts off as the play clock ticked.
Fun to watch from the sidelines but pretty nerve-wracking for the coaches (and tackles) I'm sure!
The tackles hung out in front of us so we had ring-side seats but I think the cameras caught this during at least a couple away games.
