When did Geiger leave?Â 1989?Â I'm not sure Stanford was the NCAA powerhouse they are now back then plus he left for Ohio State which probably dwarfed us in terms of salary, budget and prestige in those days.Â I bet he thought it was a no-brainer.

Scratch that .... just remembered he left for Maryland, not Ohio State.Â Ok, I'm stumped.Â He was an East Coast guy though.

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time", Superman first appeared in Action Comics, Seabiscuit beat War Admiral ....... and C.a.l last won the Rose Bowl.
