Sam Highfill, Evan Justice and the NCSU defense simply refused to be scored upon, and Terrell Tatum, the Wolfpack's DH and cleanup hitter, took the only meatball Leiter threw and turned it into dinner.
Now Stanford gets to play Vanderbilt on Wednesday, arguably the best college baseball program in the country at this point in time, with two aces in the rotation and the only team to win the CWS more than once in the last 10 years. Now we will either get Rocker on three days' rest, or the other Vandy starters, which spells a legitimate chance either way. Arizona faced Rocker fully rested and put up some runs on him. Of course, we've got to send out either our own other starters, or Beck on three days' rest ourselves.
