At this point, anyone unvaccinated is making a conscious choice. Piecing everything together, the NCAA was not doing surveillance testing on asymptomatic vaccinated people, but some (unvaccinated?) people developed symptoms and some unvaccinated people tested positive, prompting testing of the whole team. The first game was played without the unvaccinated positives and close contacts, but multiple positive tests in the vaccinated players that came back during or after the first game prompted the canceling of the second game.
