Social workers and nurses encounter aggressive people all the time in the course of their jobs.  And they handle situations properly without escalation or weapons.  

This sounds like something normal people do all the time, and but for Sherman's NFL career, no one would be hearing about this in the national press.  Alcohol and secondary talk of self-harm have probably been around for as long as humans have been brewing and distilling alcohol.  Adding involuntary police custody was not going to make things better for everyone involved.

I hope Sherman comes out of this alright.  But he needs some guidance with the alcohol consumption.  Never drive drunk.  He can afford a rideshare.
