It's almost impossible to judge how good K-State will be in 2021 based on 2020. Last year the Wildcats lost their first game to Arkansas State but had more than 20 players out due to Covid issues. K-State then beat Oklahoma in Norman, but the Wildcats' starting QB got hurt in the next game and they had to turn to a freshman QB. They managed to beat Texas Tech, TCU and Kansas, but then the metaphorical wheels fell off the bus and they ended the season with a five-game losing streak.
The Wildcats were picked to finish 7th (out of 10) in the Big 12 in the media preseason poll in 2021. However, the original starting QB from last year, Skylar Thompson, is returning, so I expect a real test for our defense.

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
