I mean, I don’t know why people get all bent out of shape about saying we didn’t execute. In my mind, it’s the coaches’ job to get our players to execute, so saying “we didn’t execute” (and Shaw usually says “we”) is taking ownership.

It’s also true. We executed poorly. Different play calling would not have led to a different result.
