I went to this game in 2019 and it was at least 2/3 Oregon fans in Stanford's stadium. One can only hope Stanford beats UCLA so Stanford's fair weather crowd at least shows. Otherwise, might be 3/4 Duck fans this year if they are still undefeated by then.
I'm just glad UCLA lost, as otherwise I'd be concerned about the crowd proportions this Saturday. I think fewer UCLA fans now will travel to Stanford, and I'm actually pretty hopeful that it will be a strong-ish (40k+) crowd rooting hard for the Card. That said, I can't help but think that a lot of Stanford fans won't show up because of the pandemic, a decision I completely respect.
A lot of fans won't show up because of the idiotic virtual-ticket-only policy. Every f-ing decision surrounding stadium access the past few years seems aimed directly at keeping folks away.
