I don't remember what Shaw said, but it seemed all the fan and media reports proclaimed a large gap after Nottingham and Nunes. What Shaw said this week may suggest the whole group has improved over voluntary workouts.Â
To me, if Stanford's football culture is everyone works hard and the best guys play, it only reinforces to the guys on the team that every position is wide open during Summer camp, if Shaw says five QBs are in the hunt. If the best guys play, what difference does it make who they are? It will be sorted out, but Shaw wants the competition to be as fierce as possible for the most important position on the field.
