My experience with the COVID-19 line was good. I was in line 10 minutes or so. They were thorough with me and did check both my COVID-19 VAX certificate and my ID. Naturally, this was at 1415, so I had lots of time. I would suggest that problems 1500 were to be expected. A last minute rush is going to overload just about any system they put in place. If you don't want to endure that, get there earlier. The ticket scanners at gate 10 seemed to work great, and there were lots more metal detectors than they used to have. The number of entry gates is the same, but there are more metal detectors out in front of them. This is a positive change.
I would be much, much happier if you could download your tickets as .pdf files and have that scanned. No different than the "digital Wallet" except Google isn't involved. It is absurd to believe that the current system isn't mandated by some remuneration from Apple/Google. It isn't about technology, it is about money, and that suxks IMHO. That said, the system worked rapidly and fine for me.
The Wifi in section 232 worked great, much better than last year. The music during non-playing time is abysmal, but I don't see that ever changing. Somebody thinks it is a good idea and that it all she wrote.
