Looks like they're playing 36. I'm surprised to not see a substitute on the scoreboard

From what I can glean with a quick search, substitutions are only allowed in the NCAA regional and championship tournaments. However, I suspect if Seay is OK tomorrow, she will be allowed to compete. You occasionally will see a player DQ in a round, but back in action the next day.



The primary reason that Stanford (and others) have extra players participating in this tourney, as individuals, is that it is close to campus, and it is a reward for the players who don't make the top 5 regularly.

The golfers from Oregon State and San Jose State who played with Seay this morning are not playing this afternoon. We can certainly speculate what that might mean. If we don't see a statement from Stanford about what's going on, we can check social media for OSU and SJSU to see if they are saying anything.

Gonna wait for an official statement but I think we all suspect the same thing. Sucks that a substitution is not being allowed.

So...missing three of last year's regular five starters, and with all four players counting, Stanford currently sits in second place, one shot behind UCLA. The website shows San Jose St at +12 but that's including the eliminated player's -1 and excluding a +7 so their real score is +20. Oregon State is now being forced to count a +17 instead of a +3 so they're actually at +32 instead of +18. Second round finishing soon. Will update with scores when it's finished

If the tracker is accurate, the absent OSU and SJSU players are being given a score of even par for the round, at least for the purpose of determining the team score. Perhaps an accommodation for circumstances beyond their control. If so, that's a very generous accommodation. The average individual score is ~77 (+5).

The SJSU and OSU player scores have now been fully reinstated while Seay remains off the board.

Stanford is in third at +21, six shots behind SJSU & UCLA.
