Actually Stanford won the NCAA just this past April.

And of course I support the women's conference tournament, because Stanford often wins it!

Seriously though, in 2020-21 pre-NCAA tournament the Stanford women were on national TV only four times out of 31 games, all on the ESPN network family. So having the Pac-12 conference tournament championship game actually made a difference in terms of national exposure, which, of course is woefully inadequate given the quality of the conference. 

I agree with your argument that, for women's basketball, having the Pac-12 tournament increases national visibility for the conference and could, in some way, foster better recruiting.
