They may not start as favorites and I understand you are speaking/typing in generalities. But credit where its due -- Leo Manzano won silver in the 1500m yesterday and Matthew Centrowitz missed out on the bronze by 4/100 of a second.

The whole university medal counts thing is silly. What's the point of counting relay and team medals when the entire contingent is not from the university? Of course, i'm not against celebrating the successes of alums and students.
