As usual, there's more than a bit of goofiness with a Wilner poll. I don't necessarily have a problem with his ranking Stanford #23--it seems as reasonable a guess as any, really--but it is a bit odd to see Wisconsin at #16, seven spots ahead of Stanford. I'm not sure how you can objectively compare the returning personnel of both teams and conclude Wisconsin's much better, especially when you consider the coaching exodus from the school and the oddity of the Montee Ball situation.
