WIM - my interpretation of the Wilner pre-season poll is that it reflects where he thinks the teams will end up at the end of the season, not necessarily the quality of the teams. Perhaps Wilner believes Stanford's schedule is more difficult with USC, @ Oregon, @ ND, @ UW, and @ Cal compared to Wiscon's @Oreg St, @ Nebraska, MSU and tOSU. If so, I'd say that the schedule gives Wisconsin the edge to end higher ranked.
