The Chron (in an article primarily about the strength of the incoming OL class), says Leuders is likely to redishirt this year. Fitzgerald also comes out and basically says that he thinks Garnett will emerge as the replacement for DeCastro unless Danser or Wilkes really make a brobdingnagian jump. But I wonder if that will be at the start of the year, or (if it happens), if Garnett will gradually move into the starting spot as he gets a better grasp on the offense? My guess would be the latter.
Whether they start or not, this incoming class of OL give Stanford such increadible depth, which is necessary to success over the long run of a tough season. Maybe Austin wins the OT spot, but should he have to miss some time, it just gives the guys who are likely the long-term starters more opportunities to gain experience. I know the debate about who will start or not is the grist for these discussions, but at one level I'm just excited about the ability of the team to withstand the inevitable injuries that come with the season.
