That was actually the first time I'd seen most of the game. I'd decided to go to Paris as a way to escape football, as I presumed we'd be utterly miserable for a year as Harbaugh turned the boat around (in what I thought was a best-case scenario). Imagine how wrong that was.
My best memory from that season was listening to Big Game on the radio at 2 a.m. and making a pricey international call to my friends, who were at the game. It was the weirdest fun feeling, and I never thought it'd only get better.
