GG - were you at the reception at Adam and Kristen Keefe's house the night before that game?  One of the assistant ADs (was it Mike Izzi?) walked around with a fat envelope of tickets, trying to give them away.  Please take the tickets.  Guest of the AD.  We just want Stanford people in the Stanford section.  There were few takers.

I'm pretty sure I must have been. I try to never miss an opportunity to party at the Keefe's (the mosh pit is insane). Somehow I missed the guy begging people to take tickets. That's okay, in a way, it was kind of fun being the lone Cardinal amongst the sea of Trojans. I know that apparently many of the USC fans applauded the Cardinal afterwards. The closest thing to gracious that I got was some guy who said, "Even a blind pig gets an acorn once in a while." I was too elated to take offense, so I just shouted, "WE'LL TAKE IT!!!"
