Busy on Thanksgiving so did not watch. Lots of great commentary here for those that missed the game. Wow, FT shooting has to get better, and by has to I mean there is nowhere to go but up, so up it will go, hopefully very, very soon. Glad Jones was able to play and hope she gets back into the swing of things soon. Two more tough games and not much rest. I don't love how this shakes out. But that's what the schedule says, so go, go, go.
Saw a story about the game that said this: "Haley Jones returned to Stanford's lineup after missing the Cardinal's win over Gonzaga for an undisclosed illness. She played 22 minutes and finished with eight points. Jones had her left ankle taped in between the third and fourth quarters.
“Haley did well, she’s doing well,” VanDerveer said. “She gave us some really good minutes, she’s fine.”
So Jones was maybe ill and definitely had an ankle taped, according to the story.
