No, Turley was hired to replace the s&c coach dorrell fired last year.

I wonder what he pulled out of his pants this time.

We have a ton of problem areas but one that seems to be getting little noticed is the transfer portal (aka 'free agency'). I don't know the actual numbers but there were at least a few ND players last night whom the announcers described as "a transfer from.....". We will never be able to shore up weak spots or trade up that way. And with the value proposition of a Stanford degree in hand and a year or two of grad school elsewhere paid for, it's going to be really hard to hang onto guys, I'm afraid. Going forward I think this may make us a lot less competitive.
