No players in the hunt for the Voldemort, no impact on CFP, an overall dreadful year for actually quite a few teams (Stanford, Kal, Washington, SC, Arizona, Colorado). Can't imagine many fans tuning in unless they have a real rooting interest.
The ratings will be low thanks to the rankings and the score, but with Utah near Vegas and Oregon able to travel the place looked crowded enough at kickoff. For the 4 Pac-12 CGs Stanford has participated in only the one at Arizona State had a decent crowd, so I suspect the Pac-12 administrators are relieved two of the teams that travel in numbers are in this game.
Putting the game in Vegas makes a lot of sense. Vegas is a neutral town, every Pac-12 community can get to Vegas easily, the place has loads of hotels, and the stadium is stunning.
