Specifically, I was pissed when it popped up during Taylor's 38-yard run in the first possession. I couldn't figure why the announcers weren't mentioning the flag, and I wondered why the players were still celebrating. Worse still, I didn't even figure out it was that was fooling me until the second half. This isn't whining, just irritation.
Oh, and the only reason I was able to watch is because I'm visiting my parents in pleasant Pleasanton, CA. Talk to me next week when I'm back at home under the DirecTV umbrella. Then you'll hear some whining.
Well, it seems you will have a chance to authenticate as a Comcast subscriber and watch online if your own family will just share some passwords with you. ;D
The final in yellow is an easy fix. I can't imagine they will use that after fans provide feedback. I was not passionately watching the SDSU v UW game, so that yellow kept catching my attention. It was very annoying. If I cared about the teams on the screen that final thing would have been annoying enough for me to put a piece of paper on the bottom of my TV screen.
Despite the possible technical improvements and lack of sponsors, my guess is the Pac-12 network is more concerned about the lack of football depth beyond USC and Oregon. Oh, and the latest reports coming out of LA that suggest that SC might have had a reason to question that one booster's integrity. Major violations in both football and basketball while both programs were on probation could be a big problem for USC and the attempt to get the Pac-12 networks out to a wider audience.
I have noticed this weekend that online replays of the games are not available. That seems odd to me. As a season ticket holder it will never be possible to watch every game on the Pac-12 network live each Saturday. My hope would be to be able to get home and stream the other contests late on Saturday or early on Sunday. It is one of the great benefits of the ESPN broadcasts, and I hope the Pac-12 will give that option.
No big complaints yet, and with Cox authentication the online streaming of so much Stanford content is a lot of fun.
Next week I will be in Europe on the weekend, so I am quite eager to see if I can watch the Duke Stanford game. If I can stream oversees with my Cox authentication I will be ready to hail the Pac-12 network as a great fan benefit. My guess/fear is that the streaming will be limited to the USA only.
