The questions surrounding JH do not have to do with his coaching ability. They have to do with his “staying power” for lack of a better way to put it. He was not going to last at Stanford. He burned his way out of SF. So it’s a legitimate question as to whether he’s reached the end of his effective coaching life at Michigan.
Plus, there are a slew of NFL jobs available. And if I’m looking to turn a team around, he’s high on my list. As long as I have a strong OC or DC that can replace him if he wears out his welcome in 3or 4 years.
