I'm actually more sanguine than most here about Jones's turnovers that result from overly ambitious entry passes, because they often work and when they do, they're great at juicing our offense. But the inbounding turnovers are just inexplicable unforced errors.
ros gold-onwude is usually enthusiastic about stanford. one exception came several years ago when she commented, shaking her head side to side, something like, "always the same old, predictable box formation on the inbounds pass. tara never tries anything different."
I'm pretty sure 2006alum is referring to inbounding in the backcourt against pressure. The box formation must have been referring to inbounding in the frontcourt, where that's often (though not always!) where Stanford starts.
Hmm, or do we start in a much more spread out box to inbound against backcourt pressure? Maybe, I haven't really looked at where all five players are then.
